The Bourbon label exists for the sole purpose of the family’s Private Barrel Selection program, and is the only label of its kind in existence. It is an un-chillfiltered, barrel proof, straight Bourbon Whiskey of unusual depth and complexity. The Willett family has a strong history in the whiskey industry with members producing whiskey shortly after the Civil War. The business in its modern form was founded by Thompson and Johnny Willett in 1936 on the family farm. In 1984 , the company was purchased by Even Kulsveen, Thompson's son-in-law forming Kentucky Bourbon Distillers Ltd.
