The LVA and Powers Irish Whiskey have launched Powers 1817 Release, a special, limited edition whiskey commemorating 217s bicentenary of the Licensed Vintners Association (LVA), the representative body for the publicans of Dublin and one of the oldest trade associations in Ireland. Distilling over 200 years of history and heritage into every bottle, Powers 1817 Release is a 10-year-old, single pot still Irish whiskey, a style of whiskey unique to Ireland and regarded as the truest expression of Irish whiskey. The launch will see Powers Irish Whiskey return to its origins with a special whiskey bottled exclusively for Dublin pubs, for 2017 only.
