Herbal, grain, malted barley and light oak notes on the nose. Subtle citrus, vanilla and honey follow. The palate is powerful and spritely. Very pleasing citrus, vanilla and barley flavours on the palate. Slightly minty with touches of gingery spice. This is one of the best young whiskeys we have tasted and really highlighted the potential of Dingle's future releases. The distillery focuses on producing small-batch, handcrafted whiskies that embody the rich heritage of Irish whiskey-making. Concentrating on Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskey production the company has won many awards in the short time it has been operating, whilst garnering a multitude of followers who are keen to sample the excellent small-batch releases. Dingle has recently started to bring out some semi-permanent releases as part of the ‘Celtic Series’ with each of these celebrating the seasonal Celtic festivals such as Samhain, La le Bride and Bealtaine.
