884 : Knappogue Castle 17 Year Old Sherry Finish
Distilled in November 1994, this single malt spent over 15 years in a bourbon barrel before being finished for 21 months in an Oloroso sherry cask. This looks like the Twin Wood 16-year-old that spent an extra year in the second cask. Released in a batch of 4,500 for the US market, some bottles made their way across the Atlantic. Spicy, rich and malty, it's great to try beside the 16-year-old version. Bottle No. 1553/4500.
