Peated to an impressive 96.9 PPM, this 8-year-old Octomore from Bruichladdich Distillery was matured for 4 years in first-fill American oak before further aging in third-fill French oak Sauternes casks. Despite its powerful peat level, it reveals a beautifully balanced profile of sea salt, buttery smoke, and honeyed notes, with an oily palate of pineapple wrapped in rich peat smoke, leading to a long finish of Jaffa orange, pepper, and chilli spice.
