Chateau Cos Labory spreads over eighteen hectares at the top of the Cos hill, made up of Quaternary gravel soils and exceptional drainage. The density of vines per hectare is high. In 1971, the couple also bought the neighbouring estate, Château Andron Blanquet. Their children worked with them on the two estates for a number of years, until the elder of the two, Bernard, took over management of the properties. Bernard is a strong and practical manager with a calm and reassuring manner. He has always lived in Saint-Estèphe and is perfectly emblematic of his estate, its wines and the appellation he has presided over since 2000.
