A landmark release for the Arran distillery. As one of the first of the new breed of Scottish distilleries it is amazing to finally see a 25 year old single malt release. Showing that this 'new' distillery has reached full maturity after a quarter of a century of production. For this single malt a combination of 65% ex-Bourbon barrels and 35% ex-Sherry casks from the 1995 vintage are vatted and matured for a final period in both 1st fill and refill Sherry hogsheads. A delicious single malt with more refinement and more delicate flavours than you would expect with this amount of sherry ageing.
