Château d'Yquem is the maker of arguably the world’s finest sweet wine, lauded for the incredible longevity and outstanding quality of its vintages. This is a Dessert wine from Bordeaux, France.

The Chateau's vineyards are planted with Sauvignon Blanc (20%) and Sémillon (80%). Due to the unpredictable weather, 1984 was a year of fits and starts with the usual run of several 'tries' of selecting perfectly ripe grapes for picking. The art of harvesting as practised at Yquem was rewarded with a very small crop, but one fully in keeping with the château's standards.

This fantastic sweet wine has the required sugar, acidity and fruit flavours to reward extended ageing and will most likely be drinking very well right now.
