A limited release from Ardbeg that offers an intriguing mix of sweetness and smokiness. Ageing has been carried out in ex-Bourbon casks with an additional maturation period in sweet Sauternes wine casks. The Ardbeg Anthology series aimed to bring some more experimental type whiskies to fans of the distillery and this seems to be one of the more successful releases.
